Taylor and Fraser carried out structural alterations, internal building fabric and services downtakings, constructed new accommodation and completed the fit out of secure ward 6 at Leverndale Hospital. Key to works was avoiding disruption to adjacent mental health wards and ensuring that continuity of service and security to the remainder of the occupied building. Creating new anti-ligature en-suite secure bed rooms for patients, traditional medical support accommodation, offices, and new social areas.

Scope of Work

New Building Services and security arrangements were provided throughout the facility incorporating and interfacing with the existing power and heating sources within the building.

  • Downtakings and alterations including removal of partitions, false ceilings, and exposing floor joists
  • Structural alterations and strengthening works
  • New underground drainage and solum treatments
