Taylor and Fraser undertook, as Principal Contractor, the upgrade of six operating theatres whilst simultaneously replacing ventilation, electrical and chiller plant at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. The project was phased over two years, refurbishing two theatres at a time, to ensure no disruption to the client and patients. Work took place on the top two floors of a multi storey hospital building with all services being maintained throughout the duration of the project. Given the significant services element of the works, the project was led by Mechanical Division utilising the complimentary expertise of the in-house Construction Division. Project completion was successfully achieved in July 2013.
