The Museum of Scottish Country Life shows how country people lived and worked in Scotland in the past and how that has shaped the countryside of today.

Taylor and Fraser’s involvement within the overall project, which cost over £9,000,000, included mechanical services for wide ranging spaces such as the exhibition areas, gift shop, restaurant, kitchen, administration and storage areas.

Scope of Work

The Mechanical Services installation comprised:

  • Gas fired LTHW boiler plant serving radiators, heat emitters and coils within air handling units
  • Air handling units providing supply and extract ventilation throughout the building including exhibition areas
  • Flue dilution system
  • Full BMS to provide integrated control of the mechanical services
