We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Junior EHS Advisor to join our construction team and help drive a positive safety culture across our project sites. You will play a key supporting role in promoting and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, company policies, and best practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the implementation of EHS policies and procedures on construction sites.
- Assist in conducting site inspections, safety walks, and toolbox talks.
- Monitor compliance with site rules, PPE usage, and permit-to-work systems.
- Help identify hazards and recommend control measures.
- Assist in incident and near-miss investigations, reporting, and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate site safety documentation, including induction records, inspection logs, and safety data.
- Participate in risk assessments and method statement reviews (RAMS).
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to promote safe working practices.
- Contribute to EHS reports and performance tracking.
- Support environmental initiatives, such as waste management and pollution control.
Requirements:
- 0–2 years of experience in an EHS-related role within construction (internships or placements are acceptable).
- Working knowledge of relevant construction safety legislation (e.g., OSHA, HSE, or local equivalents).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to work with all levels on-site.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desirable:
- First Aid at Work certificate.
- Manual Handling, Working at Height, or other construction-specific safety training.
- Familiarity with EHS reporting software or digital inspection tools.
