About Us

Respecting the Past and building for the future

Taylor and Fraser is an established Mechanical Engineering, Construction, and Electrical Engineering firm operating as a principal or subcontractor on prestigious projects throughout the UK. Established in 1906, the company’s founding focus on service and quality remains its cornerstone. The company continues to thrive by offering exceptional expertise and technical excellence to the highest possible standards.

Our early reputation was built on Mechanical Engineering services, but we now enjoy equal respect for the projects we deliver in Construction, Electrical Engineering, Energy, and Off-site Manufacturing. These established divisions enable us to deliver large-scale turnkey projects, with our Construction Division focused on undertaking multi-million-pound projects as a Principal Contractor.

In 2025, Taylor and Fraser was acquired by Suir Engineering, a highly respected, highly experienced company based in Waterford, Ireland. Both organisations share similar values, focused on empowering their people to thrive and delivering excellence for their clients.

The Taylor and Fraser – Suir Engineering partnership

Founded by the late Noel Doyle in 1984, Suir Engineering, originally known as Suir Electrical, established a reputation for delivering exceptional projects in a burgeoning Irish market. Sustained foreign direct investment in life sciences and later data centres provided significant opportunities to partner with some of the world’s largest and most successful companies, honing Suir’s expertise and providing a solid platform for innovation and growth. International expansion followed as their clients expanded into new markets across Europe and the Middle East.

Taylor and Fraser’s unquestionable pedigree, combined with Suir Engineering’s reputation, scale, and geographical reach, makes it a perfect partnership that enables them to grow in traditional and emerging markets.

Since our foundation in 1906, our history confirms our ability to continually adopt and adapt.
