Here’s what our current Apprentices have to say…

“Working with all different engineers has been beneficial as I have learned different ways to work from different people and environments.”

– Brian Cunningham, 3rd year Heating and Ventilation Intermediate Apprentice (2021)

“In regards to my experience working alongside the Engineers and my training with the company towards my qualification I am more than pleased with the experience. My colleagues clearly have vast knowledge and they have an answer to every question. The wide range of experience I’ve gathered as well over the large number of sites I’ve visited working on all different systems and facilities as well has been amazing, and we are never short of a tool for the job.”

– Jack Baird, 2nd year Mechanical Apprentice (2021)

“Since starting with Taylor and Fraser I have had nothing but backing from everyone in the company to better myself. Everyone I have worked with is very friendly and I feel like you would have to go far and wide to find a team as easy to approach. This has been a strange year for apprentices as the college hasn’t been able to open, but everyone in the company has kept in contact with SECTT and the training officers to ensure that everything is continuing. All in all, this has been the best opportunity I have been given and I would definitely recommend a Taylor & Fraser apprenticeship.”

– Reegan Gray, Electrical Apprentice (2021)

“Personally for me, working for Taylor and Fraser has been exciting and challenging at the same time. I have developed the skills I need to be a qualified electrician on some incredible projects. I have picked up better socials skills by learning to work in a team, while also learning to work with other trades and clients directly to meet satisfactory needs. I have learned my trade from the best engineers and tradesmen, who have a vast amount of knowledge to learn from that has helped me develop into a qualified and better electrician.”

– Phil Duffie, Electrical Apprentice recently qualified as Electrician (2021)

“Speaking from my experience, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being an Apprentice Electrician. I have gained a wide range of new skills from all the different jobs I’ve been involved in. Taylor and Fraser has helped me massively to pass my FICA and become a Qualified Electrician. I would recommend anyone given the opportunity to work here, to do so.”

– Callum Ralston, Electrical Apprentice recently qualified as Electrician (2021)

“As I am nearing the end of my electrical apprenticeship at Taylor and Fraser, I believe I have had a very positive apprenticeship undertaking a vast array of electrical installation work. This has given my learning experience a lot of variety throughout different projects. Also, the support from Directors and office staff to on-site Supervisors and Electricians has been second to none. I really appreciate the opportunity which Taylor and Fraser has given me and I would recommend anyone who gets the chance to work with the company to take it.”

– Paul King, Stage 3 FICA-ready Electrical Apprentice (2021)

“I was thankful for Taylor and Fraser for giving me the opportunity of an adult Apprenticeship to join such a reputable company. Whilst at Taylor and Fraser, I have gained vast knowledge of different aspects of the electrical industry, from working in a variety of different buildings including new schools, churches, Haymarket train station, Stirling Castle and everything in between. Anything I’ve needed help with along the way, the supervisors and experienced Electricians within the company have helped to guide me in the right direction so that I can keep the high standards the company work towards.”

– Conor O’Donnell, final year as an Electrical Apprentice Adult Trainee (2021)
