Meet Our New Apprentices!

We’re thrilled to have recently welcomed our latest intake of apprentices to the Taylor and Fraser team. Morag McKay, Jack Baird and Oliver Cameron are joining us as SVQ Level 3 Heating and Ventilation, Industrial and Commercial Installations apprentices. They are keen to get hands on and develop their skillset and knowledge in the industry. This latest intake takes our total number of Mechanical Apprentices to eight, alongside the four current Electrical Apprentices we also have on board.

The SVQ Level 3 qualification covers installing, testing and inspecting industrial and commercial heating and ventilating systems, as well as performing electrical work on mechanical building services systems and welding industrial and commercial heating and ventilating pipework. Alongside this, the apprentices will be working on their skills in establishing and maintaining relationships in the building services engineering sector and coordinating a work site. Health, safety and environmental legislation are also covered.

Lindsay Anderson, Managing Director at Taylor and Fraser, said, “We’re delighted to welcome the next generation of a skilled mechanical workforce into our company to develop their skills amongst our team. Morag, Jack and Oliver are looking forward to launching their careers in the industry through this apprenticeship, and I am confident they will learn a considerable amount during their time with us through our vast portfolio and diverse range of clients.”

Upon completion, this internationally recognised qualification will guarantee that the apprentices have the skills, knowledge and abilities required to carry out their future roles successfully.

We hope you’ll join us in welcoming our new apprentices on board!
