We are delighted to announce that Taylor and Fraser now has Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.
Cyber security is something that all organisations, large or small, must take seriously. The threat of cyber attacks is very real, to the extent that many cyber professionals now say “when it happens”, rather than “if it happens”.
According to DSIT’s (Now DBIST – Department of Business, Innovation, Science and Trade) Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2025, 43% of UK businesses experienced a cyber security breach or attack in the last 12 months. Unfortunately, the figure is growing. The explosion of AI has also accelerated criminal behaviour, enabling many more to engage in cyber and fraud scams.
Taylor and Fraser has always taken cyber seriously, and we have invested continuously in making ourselves as secure as possible. But our resilience isn’t our only concern; we don’t want to be a weak link in our clients’ supply chains. That’s why we’ve formalised our cyber security process and gained Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Speaking about the Cyber Essentials Plus certification, Taylor and Fraser’s Managing Director, Andrew Norris, said: “Cyber resilience and security is something we have always taken seriously, but we wanted to reassure all stakeholders that this is the case. Cyber Essentials Plus enables us to show that we have adequate and audited processes and procedures in place that meet government standards.
“Our approach isn’t just about protecting ourselves; it’s about protecting the companies we work with, both clients and suppliers. It’s critically important that all businesses assess their cyber posture and do what they can to protect themselves and their supply chain partners.
“Cybercrime is a challenge facing every business, and any company ignoring it is potentially a weak link in the supply chain; so, by gaining Cyber Essentials Plus, we are demonstrating that we are committed to cyber resilience, and hopefully, we are encouraging the businesses we work with to take it seriously and to seek similar certification “.
Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus are two NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) certifications delivered across the UK by IASME.
Cyber Essentials aligns with the UK Government’s minimum baseline standard for cyber security for organisations of all sizes. It centres on five technical controls proven to protect any organisation from the most common internet-based cyber security threats.
Although based on the same technical requirements, Cyber Essentials Plus includes a technical audit of our IT systems to verify that the controls are in place. This provides greater assurance that we comply with the scheme.
The audit covers a representative set of user devices, all internet gateways, and all servers with services accessible to the internet.
