Dumfries House – Mechanical Services
Project Overview
Taylor and Fraser was selected as Principal Contractor for this Grade ‘B’ Listed Building which is owned by The Great Steward’s of Scotland’s Dumfries House Trust and supported by The Prince’s Charities’, of which The Prince of Wales is Patron. The Company undertook the installation and upgrading of a new heating system, heating and domestic water services, new radiators and circulation pumps to the existing and new boiler plant. In order to achieve the seamless integration of the new mechanical services, building/alteration works were undertaken, sympathetic to the overall appearance and aesthetics of the listed building. Many of the valuable antiques and paintings remained in place during these works and the building also remained fully operational throughout.
