Taylor and Fraser has been engaged in a successful measured term contract involving a number of interesting alteration and upgrading projects throughout the John Anderson Campus.

These include the Royal College and John Arbuthnott Buildings. Our appointment by the University to undertake this refurbishment programme has evolved from their continuing requirement to remain at the forefront of research and to meet their current academic and commercial needs. In establishing a track record in this field of work, we have demonstrated the benefits of utilising Taylor and Fraser as a Principal Contractor for works involving a high proportion of services in addition to all trades.

Scope of Work

The All Trades Refurbishment works comprised: 

  • Strip-out of services and existing rooms to create open floor-plate
  • Mechanical including clean room and fume cupboard facilities
  • Builderworks, including floor, walls and ceilings
  • Electrical
  • Ventilation
  • Steelwork
  • Roofing and glazing
  • Laboratory benching
